The Rush Process

Rush occurs at the beginning of each fall and spring semester. Rush is the first part of a formal process by which applicants attempt to become members of the fraternity. Please see the Rush Events below or the Calendar of Events for details. The process is three fold:

  1. Attending information sessions will make you aware of what Phi Chi Theta is all about. It gives you a chance to get to know us, and we get to know you better.
  2. At the information sessions, you will receive an application that must be completed to be considered for membership. The officers will also evaluate your qualifications as an applicant based on impressions made at rush events in addition to the application.
  3. After the process is complete, the officers will formally notify you on whether you have been accepted. If accepted, you will be a pledge for a semester. At the end of the semester, if you have fulfilled your pledge requirements and are voted in by the members, you will become an active member of the fraternity.

Qualifications

To qualify to be a member of Phi Chi Theta, you must:

  1. Be a University of Texas student
  2. Be a business or economics major, or Business Foundations minor
  3. Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5
  4. Not be a senior graduating within the next semeseter

Rush Events
